The last time

When was the last time you saw a happy face?
When was the last time you lived as if there is no tomorrow?
When was the last time you heard a music that filled your soul?
When was the last time you had a dream that made you think?
When was the last time you gave life a full chance?
When was the last time you felt you can do it?
When was the last time you felt pity for you fellow beings?
And when was the last time you felt pain in your heart for others?

We live our life without love or compassion,
We always had a goal that is far far away,
We thought that there is always something that we are about doing,
Yet failed to see that we did nothing worthwhile all the while.
We failed to change someone’s life for good,
We failed to change our own life for the better,
We thought that there is always a tomorrow,
And tomorrow there was always another tomorrow.

When was the last time we gave something back to the one who gave you?
When was the last time you could look at a kid with love in your eyes?
When was the last time you felt you are not busy?
When was the last time you had time for yourself?
When was the last time you sat back and said enough?
When was the last time you felt content with what you got?
When was the last time you thought its ok to loose?
When was the last time you gave up in consideration for the other?
